KAPA played a pivotal role in securing the Medicaid Payment Enhancement Program, which brings in over $60 million annually to Kentucky EMS. This initiative took years of work, negotiations, and a large amount of funds to successfully implement. This new Medicaid funding is crucial in ensuring financial stability and growth for EMS providers across the state.
KAPA actively works to pass critical EMS legislation every session on your behalf. We work closely with our dedicated lobbyist, Marie Cull, advocating for EMS providers in Frankfort, ensuring that your interests remain a priority in legislative discussions.
KAPA also stays active each year on your behalf in Washington, D.C. to lobby on behalf of Kentucky EMS providers. As the largest EMS Conference and Expo in Kentucky, KAPA provides national speakers, industry-leading vendors, and top-tier education to over 300 EMS providers annually. Despite rising costs, we are committed to keeping the event affordable for our members.
KAPA has dedicated thousands of dollars in legal fees to protect EMS services across the state, including legal challenges involving Certificate of Need (CON) regulations and other legal matters affecting EMS providers.
